10 QUESTIONS FOR A NURSE

As some people say, “Nursing is a privilege.” For Lorenzo Quitalig, a nurse of a government-owned hospital, serving other people with a happy disposition is essential for an unquestionable passion for work.
(How does nursing differ from other professions.)
(You deal with a lot of things in nursing unlike with other professions, which focus on a single thing. To be a nurse, you have to be patient, hardworking and hospitable.)
(How do you take care of your patients?)
LORENZO: Itinatrato ko sila bilang pamilya. (I treat them like they are family members.)
QUESTION 3: Ano ang nakikita ninyong disadvantage sa pagiging nurse?(What are the disadvantages of becoming a nurse?)
LORENZO: Bilang isang nurse, palagi akong nasa loob ng ospital. Naeexpose ako sa mga sakit. (Being a nurse, I am always inside the hospital. I get exposed to a lot of diseases.)
(Are you happy even though you are surrounded by people who are sick?)

(What is the importance of self sacrifice in your profession?)
(Even though you are tired, you must still be happy and you are still able to cater to the needs of your patients. When self sacrifice is absent, the tasks of being a nurse are not done.)
(What are the things that nursing aided in your personal life?)
Nakakapagbigay ako ng advice.(For example, my sibling or one of my family members got sick. I already know what proper action will be done. I can also give advice.)
(Do you have plans of becoming a doctor?)
LORENZO: Oo. (Yes. As soon as I raise money that will suffice my tuition. My parents will be helping me with the expenses, too.)
(How did nursing help you in becoming a better person?)
LORENZO: Mas nagiging aware ako sa science. (I am more aware about science.)
(What serves as your inspiration in continuing your legacy as a nurse?)
(The patients made me realize that there are a lot of people out there who need help from us.)
(What advice can you give to people who are studying or will be studying nursing?)
(Study hard and treat your patients like family members.)
